It’s not easy being a giver.

You are a helper: a therapist, an educator, a case manager, an advocate, a caregiver. Maybe it’s not your “job” but you have always found yourself taking care of people: siblings, parents, kids, friends, neighbors, anyone who needs help. Maybe you love it. And maybe it takes a lot out of you.

You might be...

  • too exhausted to spend more time on self-care

  • worried your personal issues are getting in the way of being a good helper

  • using up all your “nice person” energy at work and shutting down at home

  • resenting feeling indispensable and unable to say no

  • convinced no one would like or respect the real you

  • feeling envious seeing your clients progress while your life stays the same

  • losing your core identity as a helper because you can’t make yourself care the way you used to

If you feel a sense of obligation to the world, feeling like a servant to your family or your job, and not sure what YOU want or even if you should be wanting things, you’re in the right place.

You deserve help too.

Folks in helping professions are particularly susceptible to burnout, moral injury, and secondary trauma. Witnessing the stuff your clients or students are going through, day in and day out, while having only a limited scope of influence to affect the situation takes a toll. You know that when you’re working with others in a helping capacity, you’re supposed to have support for that.

You aren’t just a giver, you’re a human! “Physician, heal thyself” is not a thing here. Can you imagine having a place where:

  • you don’t have to put on your “nicey nice” face

  • you’re allowed to have your own problems

  • you won’t be judged for not perfecting yourself with all those great tools and strategies you know

  • you can work on your own goals without fear or shame

  • you get to be taken care of for once?

I know how hard it is to be vulnerable with another professional. You don’t have to feel like you’re at work when you’re with me, or like a problem that needs fixing. We will collaborate as a team, and discover what feels right for you.

You are allowed to live your life for you.

You can experience your own growth.

You can finally start giving yourself what you give others.

I can help you get there.
